From time to time most of people experience different eye problems such as irritation, itching, fatigue and blurriness. Frequently these problems are short-lived and go away shortly. However, if eye problems last more than 3-5 day then is a sign to check your vision by an eye doctor. The following list contains the most common eye problems and their possible causes.
Eye twitching is usually harmless but very annoying condition. It represents a slight and involuntary movement of the eyelid for a few seconds or minutes. Eye itching is very common eye problem manifested in itching, redness and irritation of eyes mucous lining. Eye itching is usually associated with eye allergy the most common cause of eye itching. To relieve itching anti-allergic drug in the form of eye drops or oral preparations are used. Conjunctivitis is also common causes of eye itching. It is common for young children and is of bacterial or viral origin. Common cold and blepharitis can be the cause of the eye itching in patients of any age.
Tired eyes is frequently observed condition in patients with astigmatism, dry eye syndrome, computer vision syndrome, hypermetropia. Tired eyes are usually related to the following symptoms: heaviness in eyes, sore eyes, increased sensitivity to light, water or dry eyes, headache.
Eye floaters. If you experience a shower of floaters and spots, sometimes accompanied by light flashes, you should seek medical attention immediately. The sudden occurrence of these symptoms can be a sing that the vitreous is pulling away from your retina. Other conditions associated with eye floater include stroke, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment.
Blurry vision is a vision problem characterized by inability to see small details and losing sharpness of vision. Different diseases and constant fatigue may cause temporary blurred vision. Blurred vision is also common for these conditions: glaucoma, uveitis, cataracts, dry eye syndrome, myopia, hypermetropia, presbyopia, astigmatism, dry eye syndrome and others.
