Composition: Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
Licorice therapeutic action:
Licorice is a herb that promotes a normal function of the stomach and aids a normal bowel function. Licorice has a mild laxative effective for those suffering of occasional constipation. Licorice also strengthens the immune system by supplying the body with important substances like glycyrrhotic acid.
Indications for using Licorice:
Before taking Licorice: It is not recommended to use Licorice if you are allergic to any of its main components. Pregnant women and nursing mothers should ask a physician before use.
Although Licorice is a 100% natural herbal remedy, it should not be used in the following cases:
Side effects: Licorice is not known to have any adverse reactions if taken as prescribed. However, it is advised to consult your health care provider in order to determine the risk of Licorice side effects in your particular case.
